You're the Definition

There comes a time during a part of the day when you just want to sit back and relax for a while. You close your eyes and enjoy the company of yourself and your thoughts. The solitude you were craving for is now yours. However, this relaxation mode turns into something else. Distant memories come back flashing to your mind like a bullet train. Fear grasps you from behind and paralyzes your mind. You feel wrong. You feel depressed. Your eyes darken by the worst nightmare that might happen. Eventually, you create a dark personality. You start to hate everybody around you. You start hating happiness.

‘What went wrong in life?’

 ‘I did my best

 ‘If only…’

‘Why does it always happen to me?’

In a movie, we see the actors play their part. Their pieces of the puzzle of life ending up in a somewhat perfect place. Everyone seems happy. Everyone is loved. What we don’t see are the bloopers. The creation of the movie consists of a hundred takes. The actor has to repeat the lines a thousand times just to get it right for the viewers. The backstage scenes are always ugly. My point does not get sad when it comes to mistakes. ‘Mistakes are what makes life interesting. Enough said. Only you have the access to the backstage scenes of your life. The viewers will only see your life as you represent it. You are the movie. Your life is that perfect picture that others strive to achieve. While going to a party, you put your best dress on to dance away your troubles. That, my friend, is what inspires others.

You dance. You sing. You live.

‘Wow, what an awesome dress you’re wearing. You smile and take the credit. You feel good. Tonight, it was you who changed your thoughts. It was you who represented yourself as the ‘Awesome’ girl others want to be. You give others a reason to be jealous of you. You are that perfect scene of a movie that makes everyone crazy. You play your part perfectly.  You are the definition of ‘Awesome’. You learn that it is YOU who has the capability of changing your life. That power that drove you to this is called YOU. You realize that you are the definition of ‘Power’.
