How long can
we really avoid the inevitable? Eventually, we all have to step out for
groceries and other essentials. 50% of the population is stepping outside every
day for work and many other responsibilities. If you decide to engage in public
activities, continue to protect yourself by practising preventive methods which
I have been doing for a couple of months. Keep the following items on hand when
venturing out:
1. Toilet Spray: If I am stepping outside for a longer period, it is a given that I may
have to use the public restroom. No matter how clean it is there will always be
a lingering fear of contracting the COVID-19. So it is better to be safe than
sorry. Spraying a copious amount of this spray before using the restroom keeps
my mind at ease.
2. Savlon Disinfectant: Cannot stress how good this product is. I found this at Reliance Fresh
Mart and grabbed two of those cans. It is very easy to use and you can spray it
on all items after taking them out of your bag. I usually spray it over my
phone and keys.
3. Wearing Gloves: Do we really need gloves? CDC claims that you need
gloves only when you are caring for someone who is sick and
cleaning/disinfecting your home. Apart from that, if you are stepping out for
groceries or using the ATM, gloves will not necessarily protect you from the
disease.
4. Mask: Enough Said.
Period.
5. Hand Sanitizer: Make sure you are using a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Check the product descriptions before you buy.
